Mint+ Apple Watch Review

July 2, 2019

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your summer & that the sun is shining wherever you are!

I’m delighted to be partnering up with Mint+ to tell you a bit about their super cool service & review one of their products, the Apple Watch.

First things first I wanted to give you an insight into the company itself Mint+ and what it does.

Mint+ Company Overview

Mint+ is Ireland’s leading provider of refurbished, pre-owned smartphones and accessories. Mint+ Premium Refurbished iPhones, Smartphones and Apple Watches are sustainably refurbished, eco-friendly phones that have been refurbished to original manufacturer standards, to ensure they look and work like brand new phones.

Mint+ is committed to reducing mobile phone waste and all of Mint+ Smartphones and iPhones are recycled, refurbished phones. Recycled, refurbished phones are significantly eco-friendlier than brand new phones as they have a considerably lower environmental impact.

Mint+ refurbished and pre-owned phones are extremely high-quality phones, while all Mint+ phones are pre-owned phones – Mint+ Phones have had minimal usage and

Mint+ Premium phones won’t have any signs of previous use.

So as you can see this company is super topical and current when we think about our efforts in sustainability.

For my own then personal reasons, because we’re trying to save for our wedding, knowing this company exists and how they operate has given me another avenue to now purchase a phone if I need one and at a much lower cost.

Let’s talk Apple Watch!

I was delighted to partner with Mint+ to review their apple watch because I was always so intrigued as to the benefits it has. Consumers these days need everything they want at their finger tip with little to no wait time and I had heard that the apple watch features help make this happen. As you know I am always on the go so every little helps!!

When I first received the apple watch I was so impressed, packaging was straight forward and everything was as clean as a whistle. The watch even had the protective plastic you get on new phones wrapped around it. Setup was really easy all you have to do is pair it to your Iphone and away you go.

It’s early days and I feel like I’m going to love more and more as I go on, but my favourite features so far are the health features (counting my steps, measuring my workouts). I can also answer my texts & phone calls, update calendar & view pictures from my watch which is super cool when I’m on the go.

Mint+ Premium Pre-owned Phones are available in Ireland’s largest retailers – Harvey Norman’s, Vodafone, DID Electrical, Eir, Three and Tesco Mobile

My Promise Gluten Free Experience

May 21, 2019

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well.

As some of you may have seen on my Instagram I am SUPER excited to be collaborating with Promise Gluten Free Bakery to help promote their Gluten Free Products this month. I have actually been a fan of their products for a long time now so I was delighted to get on board and fulfill one of my life long dreams of becoming a ‘Bread Connoisseur’ with their new Sourdough bread range!!!!

Shock. That’s the first emotion you feel when you find out you can no longer eat gluten. (Or your son or daughter. Or spouse.). Maybe there’s a little relief, since you knew something was wrong and the last thing you want to be is sick. And then there’s the flood of fear. What will you eat?

Have you struggled  particularly with finding a gluten free bread that matches the taste of normal ‘mainstream’ bread?

I sure have.  Ever since I started my gluten-free journey, I have been struggling with trying to find the perfect loaf of bread that would reunite me with my love for sandwiches again!  My homemade breads were always quite dense and crumbly, Some were hard to slice & some were too easy to slice they would just crumble in my hands.

It’s safe to say that I’ve seen the good the bad and the ugly with Gluten Free Bread in particular.

Enter Promise Gluten Free….. Originating in the seaside village of Ardara in Donegal with over 50 years of craft baking experience, this part I love (Support the Irish!)

Thankfully Irish bakery brand Promise Gluten Free have been working in the background on our behalf! Tirelessly working on perfecting the taste & texture so that it meets our needs. The exciting news is that they have launched a NEW selection of Sourdough breads that are a game-changer for those on a gluten free diet

Promise Gluten Free brings soft mouth-watering texture and contain strong nutritionals with white vegan, multigrain and chia & quinoa sourdough loaves

They are also lower in fat, lower in sugar and high fibre, enabling you to get the right level of fibre required in their diet when consuming this product

The new Promise Gluten Free breads include White vegan, multigrain & Chia & Quinoa sourdough

  • White Vegan Bread – looks and tastes as if it’s straight out of the bakery! With an artisanal appearance and soft texture complete with a mouth-watering sourdough taste priced,
  • The Multigrain Bread – made from a mix of seeds and grains to add extra flavour and texture,
  • Chia & Quinoa Bread – a soft loaf with a pop of chia seeds and quinoa for layers of colour, texture and nutrition

In addition to the breads above, Promise Gluten Free also provides rolls, a range of delicious brioche bread (burger buns/hot dog rolls, bread), bagels, and a full confectionery range from cakes to muffins to pancakes!

I will be showing you on my Instagram over the next week or two how I use my Promise Gluten Free goodies in my day to day diet. So far I have made a chicken sandwich with the Soft White Sourdough, a burger with a brioche burger bun (not a drill!!!), Apple Tart with custard & ice cream, & madeira cake… the list goes on! But all I can say is that they were all genuinely AMAZING! It’s been a long road of trialing and testing, as I’m sure it has been for you all, so finding a brand you can depend is fantastic! I’m so excited to see this brand go from strength to strength with their products and see what the future holds for them.

All Promise Gluten Free products are now stocked in retailers nationwide including SuperValu, Dunnes Stores, SPAR and Tesco. You can view the full range here www.promiseglutenfree.com

A big thanks to Promise Gluten Free for partnering with me on this post

Tantastic Self Tan Gets Thumbs Up!

June 30, 2016

As many of you may know I tend to worship the sun and love a good tan. I’m one of those ‘I wish I was born Spanish’ type gals and get that warm fuzzy feeling when someone mistakenly greets me with an ‘Ola’ on holidays! Don’t get me wrong I love every other part of my Irish dna, but tanned skin is honestly my wish every time I blow an eyelash away, break a wishbone or see two black birds in a row. All jokes aside I am coming to the conclusion as I progress in years, that I had better not wait for magic to take effect and go out and get that Beyonce glow myself.

A lot of you have been asking me what products I use in particular the ones I use on my excursions to sunnier places and so I thought I’d share it in a blog post. I could do ten posts but I’ll give one a go to start with! My most recent secret to bronzed looking skin has been the wonderful Tantastic Self Tan. I am always trying new tans, a tan connoisseur or tanning ninja some might say and this Tantastic range has definitely caught my attention for all the right reasons. I live by the ‘Tan is for life not just for Christmas’ type motto, (ok slightly altered motto!). Tantastic not only stood the test for a long hall holiday but also as a quick fix before a night out, unexpected Irish heatwave and emergency top ups when your best friend has butter fingers and spills a drink over you as soon as you arrive at a party.

The Tantastic Self Tan range caters to all tan lovers as they have a variety of products. I personally found myself using the ‘Liquid Dark for longer trips as it develops over night and lasts up to 7 days. It also fares well in water so super handy for your summer holiday. The best way to maintain this tanned look for those 7 days is to use a gradual tan and thankfully Tantastic have one as part of their range. By applying this every night it maintains the longer lasting tan while also adding a little, making up for any tan lost during those dips in the pool. When I’m at home I get my bronzed look from using their ‘Fast Drying Tanning Lotion’. This serves as your go to tan for last minute top ups. The finish is so natural and smooth looking, I love it. I used it most recently at two Irish Festivals, Forbidden Fruit and Body & Soul and it came out so nicely. There are 5 different types of Tantastic Self-Tan and you can pick them all up in Boots, or for all you online shoppers you can purchase them directly from www.tantastic.co.uk.

So there you have it, whether you like to be sun kissed or bronzed to the max, Tantastic  have got you covered :)

Enjoy the bronzed times ahead!

London Fashion Week Style Diary

March 11, 2016

Hello there,

I hope you are all keeping well.

As the title suggests, to kick start Belle Azzure’s adventures I decided to dive right in and get a feel for what a day in the life of a blogger at Fashion Week would feel like. So with that in mind I booked flights to London Fashion Week with my former work wifey and fellow blogger Louise Cooney. Between the manic outfit planning & detailed itinerary making it wasn’t long before I got a taste for how fast paced yet highly infectious the Fashion industry is. The amount of research and organisation that goes into something that appears so refined on the outside is astonishing. I found myself alternating between moments of madness, resembling Monica from Friends, scrambling for her wedding dress whistles at the ready, to moments of euphoria feeling like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex & The City standing in her manolo blahnik’s waiting patiently for her next Fashion Show.

As a whole my experience really was pinch worthy from start to finish. From being afforded the opportunity to see clothing trends ahead of time, to being dolled up on a weekday, nibbling on macaroons, and running to shows with my best friend. You really couldn’t ask for more.  That being said, reflecting on the weekend, something that struck a chord with me the most was the undeniable hunger, passion and energy felt amongst the young designers. Loitering around Brewer Street, the main site for London Fashion Week was for me the most rewarding as it gave me a sense of where it all began for many of the top fashion designers. For me it stripped away the glitz and glam and gave me an insight into the roots of Fashion Week and the hard work and determination that is required starting out in the industry. Something that is undoubtedly relatable in a lot of other industries.

Despite the tired eyes and aching feet, the hustle & bustle of the weekend was infectious and I would advise any fashion fanatic out there to go and experience it for themselves.

Outfits varied across the weekend. What I loved about Fashion Week was that anything goes. Think of the type of outfit you wish you could wear during the day and wear it! For many of us women that usually includes heels, if they didn’t tear our feet apart!!

Next stop Paris Fashion Week I think!

Stay Stylish,

Welcome to Belle Azzure!

February 19, 2016

Welcome to Belle Azzure!

Hello there and welcome to Belle Azzure, your one stop shop for Fashion, Lifestyle, Travel and Food. The aim of the game is to bridge the gap between you and your next date night outfit, European destination or new restaurant/cuisine that hasn’t hit your radar yet. As this is my first official post I’ll keep it short n’ sweet and fill you in a little on why I have entered into the world of blogging.  Aside from the fact that I have a background in digital marketing and actually love the idea of having my own baby website to play around with, I definitely have my friends to thank for pushing me on, and making me bite the bullet, pick a laptop up and get typing about my past and future experiences!

I don’t want to spoil too much and give my future blog posts away, but I am really looking forward to sharing as much as I can with you all. Future posts will touch on my travel experience to date, part of which will include how I moved to America, some lifestyle tips and tricks, my fashion finds & of course some foodie fun thrown in along the way to spice things up! Hopefully, as a result of my efforts, some lovely soul out there will get divine inspiration from a fragment of a post and it  will benefit them in their own special way. I would definitely be ‘winning’ as they say if that were the case, so feel free to contact me and let me know if I have acted as the catalyst to your taco obsession or sparked a new found love for New York in you….. (ok I’m giving to much away here better stop!)

Alas I leave you with my first ever shoot to compliment my first ever blog post. I am very excited to say that Belle Azzure is going to have the pleasure of collaborating with the oh so talented photographer Paul Condron on various blog posts in the future…..So be sure to stay tuned!

The Brunch Life: 5 Brunch Spots in Dublin You Need To Try This Weekend

February 17, 2016

Welcome to the beginning of a beautiful brunch obsession.

The purpose of the ‘Foodie‘ section within my blog is to share my passion for food and lay a Hansel & Gretel type bread crumb trail  for you to follow in my food devouring footsteps!

There is no doubt in my mind that this particular blog post topic will have a version 1, 2 & 3 as Dublin’s brunch game is becoming so so strong.

My love for brunch and the whole concept surrounding it has definitely stemmed from my time living in New York. Brunch is a part of people’s lives over there and it takes serious priority at the weekend. One of my favourite things about brunch is that it caters to early risers and people that think 3pm still qualifies as a suitable time to have breakfast. So whether you’re a productive Peter or a laid back Luke at the weekend, brunch has got your back!

To kick off this weekend’s brunch guide; The 5 brunch spots I recommend, in no particular order are….

One of my favourites! A great spot if you have some dietary restricted friends among your group (me for example!). Herbstreet’s menu provides a variety of healthy dishes that satisfies both savoury & sweet tooth’s. As I am gluten intolerant, I went for the Eggs Florentine without the English muffin and the guys kindly added some extra salad to bulk the dish up a bit. I also added the ‘Irish oak smoked salmon with horseradish crème fraiche’ as an extra. Along with that we ordered the super popular and extremely tasty stack of Pancakes. All in all experience was Delish!

Herbstreet Brunch

Super spot for yet another guilt free dish. Eathos have been one of the game changers in Dublin for removing the stigma associated with ‘healthy eating’. Their menu proves that healthy doesn’t always have to = a salad, although they do offer amazing salads too if that happens to be your thing! On this occasion I went for the Gluten Free Buckwheat Pancakes with coconut yogurt, berries, toasted pecans, cacao nibs and maple syrup. (Drooling over keyboard!)

Eathos Brunch

Very cool, chilled, hipster-esque cafe serving simple and well constructed dishes. The people working here ooze coolness! I went for the Spiced Irish Sausage Scramble on Gluten Free Toast, topped with the freshest freshly squeezed orange juice I have ever tasted. Note to self.. go back for the Spiced Carrot & Walnut Pancakes!  Casually spied on a neighbour table who had ordered them and they looked incredible.

Slice Brunch

Taco Taco

Next up is one for my Mexican food lovers (me being one). Anything that involves guacamole I’m there, and Taco Taco make seriously good guac, so I tend to be there… a lot! Their brunch game is very strong as their Mexican inspired menu caters to the guac & chip worshipers and also the French Toast fans. On this occasion we ordered the Crab Cakes & Brunch Tacos. My advice, top it off with a mimosa and hey presto, the fear of Monday is almost non existent!

Taco Taco Brunch

5 San Lorenzos

Coco Pops Crunchy French Toast? ….. nuff said!

I had heard a lot of good things about San Lorenzos Brunch menu and it definitely did not disappoint. Everything was just what the doctor ordered; friendly staff (crucial for any hungover head that needs a sympathetic & friendly waiter), Great Music and most importantly Great Food. As you can see from the below image I went for the Brunch Tacos, Crab Cakes & the famous Coco Pops Crunchy French Toast. AMAZING! The only problem now is that I need to go back and tick off the rest of the menu! Want my advice…. GO!

…….And there you have it, your first installment of The Brunch Life. I hope you think of me when you are all devouring one of the dishes above this weekend! I better go fetch the ‘Joey Pants’ for the next installment!!!

Until then……

Stay hungry/ Classy!
